Anna-Maria Sandul was born in Crimea and moved to Britain at the age of thirteen for boarding school. She attended and graduated City & Guilds of London Art School and has taken many courses at Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Since finishing school she has been traveling the world and working on her art, mainly drawings and paintings.
Her work is a psychological anatomy of human feelings and emotions and it is her intention to create art which does NOT leave the viewer indifferent. This means that sometimes the pieces will be grotesque or challenging drawings and paintings but this also means that they evoke emotion and reaction from their viewers which is her purpose.
